.LOT:3 Jeff Beck Fender Stratocaster JB 14
Jeff Beck better known as “THE MASTER” amongst many fellow guitar players and fellow band mates. Most fans and the music industry witnessed that JB just kept on innovating and growing his guitar playing and music into an original sonic landscape that was purely JB.
Jeff was fearless when it came to stretching the music boundaries taking his guitar to places no one has been.
Jeff also had some great concepts when it came to guitar specs and even design which brings us right to this Lot# 3.
The guitar you see here was made my JW Black a Master builder for the Fender Custom Shop.
Jeff sent the exact spec measurements he wanted on the neck of the guitar.
The pickup specifications for each of the three additional Pick guards signed on the underside and one on the top side.
This guitar is unique compared to JB 18 and JB 20 guitar that have been sold recently at Auction. This is the only guitar we know to have been modified in the following way.
Jeff’s idea was to make it easier to change the pick guard on his Stratocaster by removing a very little piece of Rosewood at the end of the Fretboard, so the Neck did not need to be removed to change Pickguards, loaded with different pickups. He suggested a clip to be connected to the jack in order connect to the desired pick guard he wanted to use in the studio or live.
The procedure was cut the old strings off, remove pick guard screws disconnect the clip connector and reconnect the new pickguard with a different pick configuration re install pickguard screws and instal new strings and its ready in minutes for Jeff to play no soldering no new setup due to neck removal. Pretty clever really.
Included in LOT 3: In addition to the Jeff Beck Guitar JB14 there are # 1. set of vintage Abigail Ybarra single coil wound to JB’s spec in one pickguard, #2. Lace Humbucking Pickup with two Singles coils, #3. The Last pickguard loaded with a set of DiMarzio single coils with one stacked humbucking in the bridge position.
This Guitar comes with approximately 40 Documents that are included in this lot from JW Black, JB Managers regarding this guitar, Jeff’s tour Schedule in 1995 with Santana, Recording Sessions, Song writing session.

LOT 4: In addition, there is a document referencing an amplifier we have the Fender Princeton Chorus amp in Original box that JB used for Back Stage and in his hotel Room with his settings that he liked marked in grease pencil and the original Shipping box from Fender to Jeff Beck.
