Up for sale is our beloved 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek. It was our family darling and treated with utmost care, we loved this car so much that we ended up buying a brand-new Subaru based on how great this XV has been to us!
It has been stored in my workshop out of the weather, and recently refreshed so it is 100% turn-key and ready for the Cariboo winter. It needs nothing for a very long time. Engine oil and filter were changed every 4-5000 kms religiously and always used a full synthetic 0w-20 (Penzoil Platinum and Ultra Platinum)
MAJOR MAINTENANCE & RECENT WORK: All major, expensive Subaru service items have already been completed for the new owner:
• Brand New Starter Installed (2026) – Fires up like a dream.
• CVT Transmission Fluid: Flushed 3x and replaced with OEM Subaru CVT Fluid II (including AT relearn).
• Differentials: Front and rear differential fluid flushed & replaced (OEM Subaru fluid).
• Cooling System: Flushed and filled with OEM Subaru Blue Coolant; new radiator cap installed.
• Engine & Ignition: 4x new Laser Iridium spark plugs (SILZKARB11), Pennzoil Platinum synthetic oil with Baldwin B1402 filter, new engine air filter, new OEM gas cap, new PCV valve & OEM hose, MAF sensor serviced, and throttle body cleaned.
• Suspension & Alignment: New lower ball joints, new toe link bushings, and a fresh 4-wheel alignment performed by Prince George Subaru.
• Extras: OEM engine block heater installed by PG Subaru, new OEM windshield washer fluid container, OEM Subaru hitch (never towed any loads, light or heavy), new license plate bulb.
• Brakes: ~90% pad life remaining all around. No cracks in windshield.
INCLUDES 3 COMPLETE SETS OF WHEELS & TIRES:
1. Winter Set (On vehicle now): Goodyear winter tires (~85% tread left) on fully balanced steel rims—ready for Cariboo snow.
2. Summer Set #1: Brand new, shiny 17" aftermarket aluminum rims with General All-Season tires (~98% tread left, fully balanced, see the picture).
3. Summer Set #2: OEM Subaru alloy rims with Certified All-Season tires (~95% tread left, fully ballanced).
UNDERBODY & ENGINE CONDITION:
• Rust Prevention: Solid, rust-free underbody. The engine bay and undercarriage have been liberally coated with Fluid Film for rust and rodent protection (note: engine bay looks dark/wet due to the Fluid Film coating).
• Cosmetics: She won’t win a beauty contest, but she is honest and solid. Small rock nicks and scratches have been touched up with grey paint to prevent rust.
BONUS PARTS INCLUDED: I am throwing in extra brand-new oil filters, air filters, a spare PCV hose, and a brand-new OEM Subaru lower radiator hose (the current one is fine for now but getting slightly soft, so you have the replacement ready for down the road).
PRICE & TERMS:
• Price: $10,000 (Firm)
• ICBC book value might sit around $5,400, but given the thousands in recent preventive maintenance, fresh parts, 3 complete wheel sets, and turn-key reliability, I will not let it go for anything less.
• This vehicle was driven gently and respected. If you drive "pedal to the metal," this is not the car for you. I am looking for a buyer who appreciates a well-cared-for Subaru.
