Big Sky Enterprises seeks Full-time Assistant Hardwood and Sheet vinyl Floor Installer

Entry level position
Experience not necessary. Training provided on the job.

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday
7:30am-4:30pm
Usual work day is 8-9 hours/day
40 hours plus overtime

Salary: $ 18.00 - $ 20 /hour based on skill level.

Position starts: immediately

Job Involves:
-heavy lifting of materials (hardwood flooring) 50 lbs
-unloading heavy materials from truck
-moving heavy materials around the jobsite
-use of power tools to cut hardwood flooring
-use of power tools to install hardwood flooring
-bending to layout hardwood flooring on jobsite
-attention to detail
-ability to follow instructions
-positive attitude
-out of town work and occasional overnight stays to get a job done

About Us:
We specialize in gymnasium flooring and are responsible for the replacement and repairs of hardwood and sheet vinyl floors in school gymnasiums. We have been in business for over 40 years.

Looking for an individual who:
-is responsible
-has attention to detail
-has ability to follow instructions
-has a positive attitude
-shows up to work on-time
-show up to work 5 days a week and the occasional Saturday
-is available for occasional overnight travel for out of town jobs
-has own transportation to get to the shop in Headingley

Minimum Requirements
-must be available to work Monday to Friday full time including overtime and the occasional Saturday
-valid driver’s license
-vehicle to get to and from shop in Headingley
-attention to detail
-physically capable of unloading, carrying and moving heavy material (50kg) all throughout the day
-must be available for occasional overnight stays for out of town jobs

The following experience is an asset:
-experience using power tools
-prior experience with hardwood flooring
-Prior experience with sheet vinyl flooring.
