Shun Fat Hing is a busy grocery wholesaler and retailer serving restaurants, stores and businesses across Ottawa. We're looking for a reliable, hands-on team member who can pick and pack orders in the warehouse and deliver them to our customers. WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Pick, pack and stage customer orders accurately from pick lists
• Safely load and unload delivery vehicles and receive supplier shipments, using equipment such as forklifts (when certified)
• Lift heavy goods and materials using proper body mechanics to prevent injury
• Deliver orders to customers across the Ottawa area on time, and collect signatures or payment when needed
• Plan delivery routes efficiently, and communicate with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
• Check product quality, dates and quantities before orders go out
• Organize and restock inventory, and help with inventory counts
• Keep the warehouse, cooler/freezer areas and delivery vehicle clean and tidy

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Valid Ontario G licence with a clean driving record (we'll ask for a driver's abstract)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work on your feet, including in cooler and freezer areas
• Detail-oriented, punctual, dependable and able to work on your own
• Friendly and professional with customers
• Basic smartphone use for navigation and delivery apps

NICE TO HAVE
• Warehouse, delivery or food distribution experience
• Forklift or pallet jack certification
• Knowledge of Ottawa roads and neighbourhoods
