About the Position
We are looking for a skilled and dependable welder to join our team with a strong understanding or TIG welding light gauge stainless steel to thick plate steel when required. The successful candidate will be responsible primarily for TIG welding and fitting metal components such as tables, frames, countertops, railings etc. while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel (20 Ga to 11 Ga sheet metal and tubing).
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and related tools.
• Prepare, fit, and position metal components for welding.
• Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety procedures and welding standards.
• Complete work efficiently while meeting production and quality requirements.
• Perform other welding and fabrication duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills
• Previous experience as a TIG Welder with light gauge stainless steel is required.
• Strong TIG welding skills with the ability to produce clean, precise welds.
• Ability to read and understand welding drawings and measurements.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
