Phillips Bros Excavating, a family owned and operated company, has been proudly serving the construction industry for over 30 years. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck & Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tractor trailer repair and be proficient in diagnosing and fixing issues related to trucks and trailers. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to read schematics and perform electrical repairs. T

Duties:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including brakes, tires, lights, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and repair manuals.
- Utilize power tools and welding equipment to make necessary repairs or modifications.
- Conduct inspections to ensure trucks and trailers meet safety regulations and operational standards.
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for repairs or maintenance tasks.
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of units during the repair process.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in heavy trucks and trailer repair and service (oil changes, grease jobs, etc.)
- Strong understanding of schematics and ability to troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Proficiency in welding techniques for metal repairs.
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the job.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Have a valid class 5 license
- Inspection license is an asset, but not a requirement.
