Production Team Lead
Description
Production Team Lead — Hands-On Leadership
Precast Concrete Manufacturing | Year-Round Employment
We’re looking for an experienced Production Team Lead who leads by example and enjoys working alongside their crew.
This is an active, hands-on role in our production facility and yard. You’ll direct daily work, coach employees, maintain quality standards, and help get the job done—whether that means training a team member, solving a production issue, or helping load a truck.
Production and yard staff will look to you for clear direction and support. You’ll work closely with our Project Managers, Coordinators, and Owner to keep jobs moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Your Responsibilities
• Lead and work alongside the production crew, providing direction, practical support, and training.
• Coordinate jobs in production, set daily priorities, and assign work.
• Schedule employees and equipment to meet production and delivery requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot production problems, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor inventory and ordering to prevent material shortages and unnecessary purchases.
• Keep work areas, equipment, and materials clean and organized.
• Monitor employee performance and provide clear feedback and coaching.
• Build a positive team atmosphere through respectful communication and leading by example.
• Enforce safety procedures, participate in post-incident inspections, and actively support accident prevention.
• Report daily production progress and communicate issues that may affect schedules.
Qualifications
• At least three years of experience in a similar hands-on leadership role, supervising a team of 15 or more employees
• Strong practical skills and a willingness to step in wherever support is needed
• Excellent people skills, with the ability to give clear direction and coach employees
• Ability to read and understand basic shop drawings
• Experience operating forklifts, skid steers/Bobcats, and zoom booms
• Basic computer and email skills
• Physical ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
• Your own vehicle and reliable transportation, as public transit is not available at our location
• Valid First Aid and CSTS certifications, or willingness to obtain them within four months of hire
