Seasonal employment - full time - 30 to 70 hrs per week including early mornings, evenings, flexible hours, nights, days, weekends. Education: no degree, certificate of diploma. Experience: No experience (will train). On site: work must be completed at the physical location. Rural area. There is no option to work remotely. Public transportation is not available. Work site Environment: Outdoors, at heights, wet/damp, dusty, hot, all weather conditions, tree and orchard fruit. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and work areas, guide growing shoots into optimal developments positions, plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, hand prune trees, remove manually all suckers and sprouts, tie and secure plants, train trees to produce more fruit of high quality, weeding, fertilize and spray crop, hand thin fruit from trees, hand harvest apple crop, examine product for quality and its readiness for the market, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Work conditions/physical capabilities: ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, repetitive tasks, work under pressure, handling heavy loads, tight deadlines, physically demanding, manual dexterity, hand-eye co-ordination, ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, standing for extended periods, bending, combination of crouching, kneeling, walking, working on ladders. Weight handling: up to 50 lbs. Personal: Flexibility, reliability, team player, quick learner.
