For sale is a vintage advertising thermometer for “Buffalo Evening News”newspaper. This advertising thermometer was produced in the early to mid-20th century as a promotional item for the “Buffalo Evening News”, a major newspaper that served Buffalo, New York from 1880 to 1982. Such thermometers were commonly distributed to businesses, homes, and newsstands as marketing tools to keep the newspaper's name visible in daily life. The combination of practical utility and advertising made these items popular giveaways during the golden age of North American newspapers.

Advertising thermometers from regional newspapers are highly sought after by collectors of Americana, vintage advertising memorabilia, and those with connections to specific cities or regions. “Buffalo Evening News” items hold particular appeal for collectors interested in Western New York history and the evolution of American journalism. The weathered patina and visible wear on this piece add to its authentic vintage character, making it an attractive display piece for those who appreciate nostalgic advertising ephemera and regional history.

Approximate measurements: 13”H X 3.5”W X 0.5”D. Presented in fair overall condition (with wear consistent with age and exposure to outdoor elements). A great collectible for the news media enthusiast!
