Part-Time Coffee Kiosk Technician (Weekdays, Downtown Toronto, $27/hr)

About us:
We're a small, family-run business that runs robot coffee machines in downtown Toronto. Our machines serve fresh espresso drinks at two downtown locations, and we're adding more. We're a small, friendly team, and our technicians are the people who keep everything running.

About the role:
We're looking for a weekday technician to visit both kiosks every Monday to Friday. Each day takes about 2–3 hours, and you choose when you go. One kiosk runs 24/7, so the work fits around your schedule. This is ongoing, part-time contract work, about 10–15 hours a week to start, with room for more hours as we expand to new machines.

We're looking to start onboarding right away, and you'll need to be available over the December holidays (with time and a half on the stat days).

This role suits someone already working in the gig economy who has a flexible schedule and likes running their own day.

What you'll do:
- Restock supplies: cups, lids, coffee beans, milk, syrups
- Monitor inventory levels and do supply runs when required
- Clean the kiosk inside and out, and run the machine's milk and coffee cleaning cycles
- Troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues on site, with remote support from our team and engineers
- Do a deeper weekly clean and a quick preventative maintenance check
- Flag worn parts and report bigger issues right away
- Log each visit in our servicing app
- Stay reachable on WhatsApp for urgent service calls when a machine needs attention

What we're looking for:
- Tech savviness is a must. You're comfortable with phones, tablets and apps, and you enjoy working out how a machine works and why it's stopped.
- Self-sufficient and motivated. You can work on your own, follow our guides, and solve problems without being chased.
- Reliable. When a machine is down, it earns nothing, so showing up every day matters.
- A car is preferred, but any vehicle that can carry supplies works
- Available on WhatsApp during the day for urgent issues
- Able to start right away and cover the holiday period
- Fluent in English, spoken and written. We operate in English, and troubleshooting technical issues with our team means we need to communicate clearly and easily.
- Friendly and easy to work with. You'll be part of a small team and the face of our kiosks on site.
- Good attention to detail and a clean, careful approach (this is food service)
- Nice to have: gig work experience, barista or espresso machine experience, vending or appliance repair
- Physical requirements Restocking and cleaning are hands-on. On every visit you'll need to: Kneel and crouch to reach lower compartments, Climb a 3-step ladder to restock and clean higher areas, Lean, reach and stretch into the machine to clean it, Carry boxes of supplies (cups, beans, milk) from your vehicle to the kiosk
