WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT

We are NOT a noisy, stressful, kennel type place. Your dog stays in our home and family zen environment — no cage, no kennel situation — with lots of TLC and one-on-one love and personal attention.
We only take a very small number of dogs at a time, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Dogs with challenges, intact dogs, and dogs with behavioral issues are welcome — including Post Pandemic Stress Disorder (PPSD), separation anxiety, aggression, housetraining problems, reactivity, jumping up, pulling on the leash, and biting. We specialize in difficult dogs.
Daily photo and video updates of your dog's adventures while staying with us.
Several walks and Dog Jogs per day in a huge park right next to us, plus play time and socialization (only with trusted dogs).
Two huge yards with 6-foot high fences that not even the tiniest or largest "Escape Artist" can get out of; central air conditioning and a Triple HEPA Air Filtration System for hot and smoky days; canine First Aid.
Daily Doggy Massages, Reiki, Music Therapy, and Warm Coconut Oil Foot Rubs after walks and Dog Jogs — and on hot days, supervised and monitored Doggy Pool Parties!
We can work in conjunction with your Vet to provide healing therapies for dogs with injuries, arthritis, or older dogs with aches and pains.
K9 Joe is a professional Dog Trainer from Europe with extensive experience as a Search and Rescue K9 Instructor, well established, highly respected, and recommended in Calgary and Alberta. He is also a Canine Behaviorist and can complete Temperament Tests and Behavioral Assessments — with your dog, your puppy, or even with a litter, if you are a Dog Breeder.
WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

"We sent Gunner to K9 Joe's and the Team for having multiple issues. He was having a hard time learning his kennel manners, potty training, and overall commands, as well as call back (recall). Gunner was only with the Crew at K9 Joe's for 5 days, and man, what can we say? The difference in the dog that came back to us was PHENOMENAL! Gunner has learned the potty training part and there are no more problems, his manners are excellent, and his call back is extremely good. The support and phone calls keep on going from them, and we can't thank K9 Joe and the Team there enough!"
"I am so happy to have our Husky, Beauie, going to K9 Joe's for Doggy Daycare 5 days per week! We read your emailed report that was very insightful and detailed, outlining Beauie's experience with K9 Joe and the Team there. He adores coming over and he howls in excitement just coming into the parking lot for Doggy Daycare, before we even get there! I just walked him on the leash, and he is already so much calmer, and does not pull nearly as much. We want to continue with your care for Beauie well into the future."
"When Nala stayed at K9 Joe's Training Academy, Doggy Resort and Spa, she was treated as a family member and stayed in a home environment instead of staying in a kennel. She was fed as usual with her own food and treats. She had daily dog walks and dog jogs with K9 Joe, which she loved. She also played happily with other dogs in their backyards. After 8 days of adventure, my white dog is still kept clean since the K9 Joe team even gave her baths, warm foot rubs and massages. After coming home, Nala seems to have improved on her ability to walk with a leash without pulling. She is also not as nervous with people. The K9 Joe Team is very professional and made us worry-free when we needed to be out of town. We highly recommend K9 Joe as a dog trainer and K9 Joe's Doggy Resort and Spa is a good place for boarding your beloved pooch."
