For sale is an antique oak card catalog cabinet with six drawers and original brass hardware. Card catalog cabinets were essential fixtures in libraries, offices, and businesses from the late 19th century through the mid-20th century, used to organize and store index cards for cataloging books, files, and records. These cabinets were typically crafted from durable hardwoods like oak and featured brass label holders and pulls. With the advent of digital cataloging systems in the late 20th century, these functional pieces became obsolete in their original purpose but gained new life as collectible furniture.

Card catalog cabinets are highly sought after by vintage furniture enthusiasts, interior designers, and collectors who appreciate industrial and library aesthetics. These pieces appeal to those who value craftsmanship, nostalgia, and functional vintage decor, often repurposed as storage for craft supplies, jewelry, small tools, or displayed as statement pieces in homes and offices. Their compact size, organizational utility, and historical charm make them particularly desirable in the vintage and antique furniture market.

Approximate measurements: 20.25”W X 17”D X 9.5”H. Presented in fair overall condition (with wear consistent with age and use). This piece can be restored or preserved in its original condition. A handy cabinet to catalog your home collectibles!

Offered for sale at $240 (or best offer).
