Not a Movie

What you see in the movies is not what the Canadian Armed Forces is all about. You will learn how to push yourself physically and mentally to new heights. You will learn how to work as a cohesive team to achieve assigned tasks. You will be taught basic military skills like preparing your uniform, military drill, camouflage, map & compass, service rifles, hand grenades and NATO Orders Format. You will be taught how to survive in the cold and the heat. You will learn skills specific to your Trade. You will be tested. You will be cold or tired sometimes and often both. You will learn how to instruct, mentor, lead, plan and manage. To become a Reservist, takes commitment, loyalty, training and effort.

We are conducting an information session on Wed the 14th of May at 7:30 p.m. at the Currie Barracks (large building with the compound) at 4225 Crowchild Trail SW, Calgary, AB and the Debney Armoury (parking in the east and west lots) at 8403 Roper Road NW, Edmonton, AB. We will present to you with what 41 Service Battalion and the Army Reserve has to offer.
