About the Role

Ostash Exterior Building Products is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Metal Fabricator / Shipping & Receiving Associate.

In this role, you will perform a variety of warehouse tasks including receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and forklift operation, while helping maintain an organized and efficient work environment. You will also fabricate custom metal flashings and prepare orders for customers.

This is an active position where you will spend most of your shift on your feet handling materials and operating equipment such as forklifts, computers, and a computerized metal brake.

Key Responsibilities:
Pick items, prepare goods, and arrange shipments and customer pick-ups
Cut and bend metal to custom order specifications
Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all fabrication orders
Work both independently and as part of a team
Receive, unload, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and packing slips; report any discrepancies or damage at the time of receiving
Prepare and package customer orders accurately
Prepare shipping documentation such as packing slips and bills of lading
Operate warehouse equipment as trained (e.g., computerized brake, forklift) and complete pre-use inspections
Assist with inventory control including put-away, restocking, and cycle counts
Maintain warehouse and yard organization, including stocking shelves, keeping aisles clear, and maintaining assigned areas
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures

Qualifications:
Experience in shipping/receiving or general warehouse operations
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform repetitive tasks (bending, reaching, standing)
Comfortable using basic computer systems for inventory and shipping tasks
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Motivated, hardworking, and eager to learn and grow within the company
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work (occasional deliveries may be required)
Strong reading and writing skills

Qualifications:
Forklift certification or willingness to be trained
WHMIS and/or Occupational First Aid certification
General construction or building materials knowledge
